We partner with some of the best shoemakers in the world to craft shoes using natural materials and responsible production practices.
We believe the people who make our shoes are just as important as the people who buy them.
In 2004, Texas native Evan Streusand discovered his first pair of Peruvian boots while backpacking through South America. He was immediately taken by the quality of the materials used and the craftsmanship that went into making them. This discovery eventually led him to bringing these handcrafted shoes to the United States.
Since 2010, Fortress of Inca has worked with family-owned and operated factories and workshops to maintain the quality and craftsmanship that first inspired Evan more than ten years ago in Peru. We always ensure that the working conditions of the people who create our shoes are safe and that they are paid fair wages.
