Feature Friday: Raven + Lily
Reintroducing "Feature Friday" where we blog about one of many unique brands we like! We're also spicing up it up by featuring a jewelry brand for the first time!
A little about the company:
Raven + Lily is a socially conscious lifestyle brand based in Austin, Texas and founded by friends Kirsten Dickerson and Sophia Lin who share a passion for fashion and ethical design. The brand currently sells through its own website and through over 150 retailers.
What we like about the brand:
1. Raven + Lily not only shares our hometown of Austin, but it also shares the same values. The brand commits to providing products that are made by hand, follow fair trade standards, and honor a commitment to being eco-friendly. Currently a member of the Ethical Fashion Forum, Raven + Lily was awarded with the EFF's Sustainable Brand Leader for Jewelry award.
2. Raven + Lily is on a mission and that mission is to empower women through design. The brand currently has six different collections with beautiful pieces made by underprivileged, marginalized women all over the world, including Ethiopia, India, Cambodia, and Kenya. Raven + Lily is giving these women access to a safe job, sustainable income, healthcare, education, and an opportunity to break the cycle of poverty for themselves and their families.
