Feature Friday: Noonday Collection
We enjoy highlighting one of many unique brands in our "Feature Friday" blog posts.
A little about the company:
Noonday Collection is a women’s jewelry and accessories company that uses fashion and design to create economic opportunity for more than 2,000 artisans in Latin America, Asia and Africa and more. Jessica Honegger launched their first collection in 2010 after she met jewelry designers, Jalia and Daniel during her trip to Uganda. Her business has grown rapidly and now partners with 30 artisan businesses in 13 different countries.
What we like about the brand:
- Noonday Collection is a member of the Fair Trade Federation. Just like Fortress of Inca, the Noonday Collection believes in fair wages and providing safe and healthy working conditions.
- They give back. Its products give back in so many ways including job creation, scholarships, skills- development training as well as supporting families and orphan care. Orphan care and prevention remain its core value. Noonday donates 10% of sales from its designated adoption trunk shows to adopting families to help them bring their child home.
