Fortress Faves | Everlane
We enjoy highlighting one of many unique brands in our "Fortress Faves" blog posts.
Everlane's main goal is to make sure their customers know exactly what's happening behind closed doors; the "radical transparency" they offer gives you an inside look at their factories, decisions the company makes and what it really costs to make the garments. Not only to do they reveal the true cost of producing their products, they also show you their markup. No surprises, just good quality, ethical products.
Everlane has multiple factories all over the world, and their site shows you what each is specifically used for, such as twill, denim, silk, knits and cashmere. To read in-depth information about each factory, including how they found it, composition of materials and the owners of the factory, go to the Factories tab on the Everlane webpage! They realize how important it is to know where our clothing comes from, so we urge you to check out all the cool information their site provides you!
Everlane has received raving reviews from the likes of GQ, Glamour, Lucky Magazine and the New York Times. These publications appreciate the fact that Everlane designs and produces all of its own goods, that they provide high quality, relatively inexpensive items, and by choosing to sell solely online, have managed to cut costs to a bare minimum. You're able to save a good amount of money for some great quality stuff; who isn't into that?
The creator of Everlane, Michael Preysman, left his job to venture into starting his own business. He never expected to work in fashion, but a passion for great design and a lack of innovation and unique pieces in retail led him to Everlane. The crew at Everlane have a shared passion for pushing boundaries, challenging conventions, sustainable fashion and saving you money.
